“A big reason I came to SNU was for basketball. My brother Jared goes here too, which is a plus to be a part of the team with him. I’ve been able to meet a lot of new people at SNU. I feel like I’ve learned how much I need friends and a good support system. My professors and coaches are all trying to pour into me spiritually and academically. They strive to support me so I can be the most successful I can be.

My favorite basketball moment was when we won the GAC tournament against ECU a few weeks ago, that was awesome to be a part of something we’ve never done before. If I could describe myself in one word, it would be friend. I try to be a friend to everybody. I get that from my little brother Luke, who has Down Syndrome . He has taught me how to care for people differently. He’s a lot of fun to be around. He just loves everybody. It’s so cool to see him interact with other people. He brings joy to everyone around him–teaching me to want to treat people the same way. To serve others means to put their needs before your own, so being around so many fellow believers and community here at SNU has helped grow my faith a lot.”
