“When I came to visit, SNU told me their message, motto, and mission for students here and how they hope to embody that. I wasn’t just another number to them. It was such a peaceful feeling and before I left, I knew this is where God wanted me. Also, SNU’s science department is amazing. It’s one of the best in the state. I was stressed out at first but now I’m very happy with my courses. It’s my home. I just love science so much. The faculty and staff go out of their way to help us and make sure that we’re able to learn and do well despite our busy schedules and life outside the classroom. My faith has become more my own in my time here. I’m focusing more on my relationship with God, than a list of “do’s” and “don’ts”. The goal for me as a Christian is helping others and becoming more like Jesus. To me, serving others means being open with your resources and generous with what you have. Make yourself available and approachable, so that if others need someone to come to, they can depend on you.” – Hope Salzman. Junior, Biology Major from Ardmore, OK.
